Halloween, My Birthday, and O Christmas Tree

Hi friends! Hope everyone is doing well. The Ross family has had a very busy weeks (what's new, right?)!

We will start off with Halloween. The week started out not so swell, with Steven sick with Type A influenza, then I got Bronchitis, but we made it to Halloween in one peice. Steven went to the Razorback came on Saturday, while Bo and I, and my friend Jennifer stayed back to pass out candy to the trick or treaters. Bo was a little skeleton, here are some pics that I got of him in his costume before he pee'd on it, and we had to put it in the washing machine :)

We had some extra special guests visit during Halloween night. My neice and nephews, Preston, Greer, and Reed. Preston is a Green Lego, Greer is a fairy princess, and Reed is a spider.

That was such a fun night, moving into November, we celebrated the best holiday, MY BIRTHDAY! I turned 26 on November 9th. It was such a great weekend and day. On the Sunday the 8th, Steven and I hosted a birthday barbeque at our house. It was complete with burgers, hot dogs, and cookie cake. On Monday, my actual birthday, I had a great birthday lunch at Abeulo's with my co-workers, and dinner at Bordino's with the hubby to top of my wonderful day.

Moving on, the next weekend we went down to Fort Smith, to continue celebrating my birthday :) with a visit from my Grandma & Grandpa. This was the first time for my grandparents to see Payton! She was a very happy baby, and we had a great time playing with her.

Finally, it's time for Christmas in my book, so we have already got our Christmas trees (yes, trees..) up! Below are pics of the living room tree, mantle, dining room tree, and tree's at the front of the house.

Weekend in the Fort!

Hello Followers! Bo and I just returned this afternoon from a weekend in Fort Smith. It started with a trip to Ozark, AR to see our cousins Karley and Kramer during their Homecoming weekend. Karley was junior maid and Kramer played a great game of football that night.

Saturday, Payton and Asha came over for a girl's day of shopping. This was Payton's first shopping trip! We had a very successful shopping trip and Payton ended up with a whole fall/winter wardrobe! Below are pictures.

Also, Bo's daddy was out of town of this weekend so he wore his down jacket!

We also bought his halloween costume this weekend! I will post those pictures soon!

Finally Updating!

Hi friends! I know it has been months since I have updated our blog. It has been a busy couple of months.

I have been traveling a lot recently, but I wanted to share with you some pictures from my trip to Chicago. My team and I got to take a architectural tour of downtown Chicago on the river. It was one of the most amazing experiences. It was such a beautiful day as you can see below!

It was truely a great trip as you can see.

Football season is here in Fayetteville, and we couldn't be more excited. We have season tickets this year, so the plan is to make all the games. However, the Auburn game at 11:30 next week is going to be a challange. I guess we will be having a tailgate breakfast. We have a great tailgate with Steven's sister and brother-in-law, complete with a hog trough. I will take pics of the tailgate this weekend to post. Hopefully it won't be misting/raining like the Georgia game.

Steven and I have also be busy with tennis and softball. Steven is participating in a men's softball league. Our friend Justus and Steven hit back to back home runs last week! They were really excited about their accomplishment and the Railhead Railers won both games last week back to back. Below is a team pic:

This weekend we volunteered at the Kellogg's AAO Sports Experience, where we participated in handing out samples and the Earn Your Stripes Fitness Challange. It was a great family event for Northwest Arkansas and we were proud to be a part of it.
We have a busy October planned, but I hope to be better at updating our blog. Hope everyone is well.
Happy Fall!

It's Tennis Time!

Yesterday, Steven and I participated in the Summerhill Tennis Mixer. It was a lot of fun with friends and a great workout! There were double's matches and tennis games, along with plenty of food and drinks! Here are some pics!

Also, we discovered Bo's love for tennis balls! Doesn't he look precious!

Until next time!

4th of July Road Trip to Hot Springs

Hello followers! Once again it has been weeks since I posted but we have been very busy in the Ross household. The past month has been filled with birthdays (Steven's was Thursday the 9th!), lots of working on the house, and lots of work... period.

However, we were able to make it down to Hot Springs during the fourth of July weekend to spend time with friends, family, and celebrate Jessica and Clint's engagement!! We had a blast staying at Collins' condo right on Lake Hamilton, and were able to go visit some of my long lost cousins on the Brantley side of the family, many whom Steven hasn't ever met.

We then went to the Gill's lake house to celebrate Clint and Jessica's engagment. I have posted pics below from that weekend. Unfortunatly, Steven was enable to enjoy the water due to a 2nd degree burn (Yes, I'm not kidding), he recieved playing Adult League Men's softball. He was sliding in to third base and well... at least he was safe. His leg is healing up quite nicely though, I think he will make it.

Anyway, that's about all that is going on with us. This week we will try to attempt mounting our television on the wall. We will see how it goes... wish us luck that it is successful!

A New Post!

Sorry Friends and Family for taking so long for updating my blog! We have a had a busy several weeks.

First off, I traveled to Michigan right after Memorial Weekend for a business meeting. The meeting was in Traverse City, MI. Traverse City is located right on Lake Michigan and it is a beautiful resort town. We stayed at the Grand Traverse resort, it was absoultely beautiful, however the majority of the trip it was raining and in the high 50's. Our "team building" activity for the trip was a dinner cruise on this sailboat called the "Tall Ship", and yes, despite the rain we still were able to go on the cruise (Horray! Just kidding..) I have posted pictures from the sailing trip.
Last week, we were able to welcome in this world, our new little neice, Payton Amber-Nicole Brantley. She was born on Monday and weighed 5lbs. 7oz. Asha had a hard delivery, but in the end Payton and her mommy made it through great. She is now the apple of all of our eyes!

Today, Steven and I were able to go visit little Payton and hold her for the very first time. I have posted some pictures of her below, but if you would like to see them all, you can visit http://picasaweb.google.com/cassieaross or http://picasasaweb.google.com/onemanlit . That is my picture page and dad's. Chris and Asha are working on posting pictures now. I will post there link when they get it set up.

Have a wonderful week! Untill, next time!

AAO Golf Tournament & New Landscaping!!

This week was a very busy one. I was involved with the Arkansas Atheletic Outreach golf tournament, in which Kellogg's is a sponsor. We had a luncheon on Wednesday where we listened to Mike Duke, Wal-Mart President & CEO. We also had golfers and passed out Kellogg's yummy snacks on Thursday & Friday, despite a massive storm that went through on Frinday Morning. Last night we attend the AAO "Par-tee". Steven and I had an absolute blast, and I even one a super-cute purse and giftcard at the silet auction.

Today we finally had a sunny day, so our landscaper friend was able to come out and help Steven redo the landscaping! Attached are pictures of what the new landscaping looks like. We are thrilled and hopefully we can get some flowers planted soon.
Tomorrow is Mother's day and off to Good Ole' Fort Smith, Arkansas....

Finally Blogging

Welcome to the Ross Family Blog. We hope to keep our family and friends updated with what is going on with our lives. I am new to the blogging world, so I guess I will learn as I go!
This is our little family, Steven, myself and our shi-poo Bo. He is a wonderful dog, and we have had a lot of fun learning all about taking care of a dog on our own. He loves his bones, toys, and meeting new people. His favorite thing is going to "school" a.k.a The Canine Connection. He has lots of friends and by the end of the day he can barely keep his eyes open.
Steven manages Summerhill Raquet Club. He is an avid tennis player and golfer. He loves hanging out with Bo, and working on the house.
I am a Customer Business Analyst for Kellogg's. I get to sell Eggo's to Wal-Mart!! It is a great company and brand to work for. I am just now taking up tennis, and it's going slowly but its fun!
We bought a house back in October, and are slowly working to fill it. We are learning new things everyday, like mowing, painting, gardening, grilling, etc. We both are having fun learning as we go.
I hope you enjoy the blog. I will try to update as we go! You can also check out all of our pictures at http://picasaweb.google.com/cassieaross .
