Hello followers! Hope everyone is doing well, and had a safe and happy Holiday Season!
This year, now that we were settled into the house (and had somewhere for everyone to sit..) we planned to have Christmas at our house this year. We spent weeks planning everything out, and purchasing all the necessities for a Christmas feast, and then the weather moved in...
This year in Arkansas we had our first white Christmas. Now at 26, this is the only white Christmas that I ever remember. While beautiful, it put a unpredictable hitch in the plans.
My mom planned to come Christmas Eve and help Steven and I with our first Christmas Turkey. Due to the weather, she opted to stay in Fort Smith, leaving us to our own devises.. all I have to say is THANK GOD FOR THE INTERNET. Steven and I were able to scour internet recipes, watch video's all on how to roast a turkey. Many hours later.... We had a great looking turkey... and it tasted good too! (at least we thought so!)
Everyone eventually made it to our house on Christmas Day, and we had more food than we could have ever imagined. It was wonderful having everyone together. This was also Payton's first Christmas, and she had a blast with all her new toys!
For New Years, Steven and I stayed in town and went for dinner and drinks with our friends at Theo's on Dickson. It was a fun night with all of our good friends. Here are some pictures from that night.
Until next time! Have a great 2010!
